All the regional amateur sport in videos

A new website "made in Liège" has just been launched on the web. Imagined and designed by two people from Liège, "Wallsport" offers you all the regional amateur sports in videos. With 6 million views and 10,000 videos in four years, the former "Footbook" on Facebook now includes other sports on a single platform accessible online.

Fans of regional sports were already familiar with "Footbook" on the Facebook network. Created four years ago by Fabrice Pieroni from Liège, this page offered three-minute summaries of amateur soccer matches. "We started by making videos about Liège soccer before expanding our offer to the whole of Wallonia and to other sports," explains this former soccer player.

Fabrice Pieroni, who played for Standard's youth team and is a real fox in the box, has been a great success in amateur soccer in Liège. He is also the brother of former Red Devil Luigi Pieroni, who played for Standard Liege and Anderlecht. With more than 10,000 videos online for a total of 6 million views, his page has grown so much that it was noticed by Facebook. So much so that the American giant demanded that his name be changed, as it was too close to the famous application. "It was an opportunity to take a step forward and for my friend Pandili Bourikas to join the adventure. Together, we decided to merge the different amateur sports and bring them together in a single site."

A beautiful digital showcase

Online for two months, Wallsport offers summaries of amateur sports matches throughout Wallonia. It's a real amateur sports channel: you'll find soccer, but also futsal, basketball, boxing (with more than 450 fights in videos), combat sports, field hockey and handball. "It's a showcase to highlight all these Walloon amateur athletes. We are also working on the youth with a junior section that will be available soon. All our videos will be archived on the site."

But all this comes at a price. The annual subscription is 24€, or 2€ per month, to have access to all the videos. "Access to the soccer videos remains free. All you have to do is register online. Thanks to the arrival of two new sponsors, Decathlon and Ladbrokes, we are also offering an annual subscription for 10€ with a 24€ voucher offered at Decathlon."

Stopped for a month due to the health crisis, the amateur sport should resume early next year with a new tool to ensure its promotion.
